When raising their children, many parents fall into the trap of guiding their decisions according to their own limited experiences , the trends, or what is worst, what their entourage thinks or does. Few parents realize that this is not a good way to guide, or educate a child, as it does not take into account the child´s unique skills and natural gifts. Therefore, their true strengths and weaknesses.

This is why, at True Horizon, we believe that every student´s journey should begin with a process of self-discovery. This process of self discovery is based on analyzing the child’s true talents and designing a path that fosters his or her unique strengths. These are the areas that will make him, or her, shine as an adult.

At True Horizon, we offer a service that helps one to discover the best carrer path for their child. This service is divided into three steps beginning with evaluating the child´s natural aptitudes, and culminating in peronalized guidance surrounding the university curriculum most suited to them and their success.

This will give the team key information as to what areas need to be fostered, and most importantly, it will help to shed light on what disciplines he or she is more likely to excel in when becoming a young adult. These are areas that need to be trained from a young age.

THE RESULTS
OF THE ANALYSIS

Once the student has been analysed by the team, a report will be drafted, and the results will be presented to the child and their parents. These results will serve as a basis, which will guide the student’s education, and prepare him, or her, for a promissing future. This to say, one that fits with his, or her, unique talents.

CURRICULAR GUIDANCE

After the results are discussed, the coach and parents together assess the educational options best suited to the student´s profile. Depending on the age of the student, a plan for the student`s academic development is hatched. The student is assessed around three aspects:

IEXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND EXPERIENCES

 

LONG TERM PROGRAMS

These are long-stay experiences in a foreign country. These can take place with a selected family or in a boarding school for a period of trimester, semester, or even a year. It is a great experience to learn a new language, immerse the student in a foreign culture, and most importantly, help him, or her, grow and mature.

SHORT TERM PROGRAMS

Sports, music, art, science, technology, robotics, design, theater, cinema… Depending on the student, we will recomend different options with differing levels of dificulty and sophistication. The goal is for the student to reinforce his talent while building a strong CV.

 

II OFFICIAL EXAMS, TITLES& DIPLOMAS

We will recomend what official exams, titles, and awards will best make the student appear interesting and set his CV apart. This could be as simple as studying at home with a private teacher, or enrolling in a specialized short term program.

We advise the parents as to what subjects, what academic systems, and what schools are most appropiate for each child. Parents must take into account that there are many academic systems, and each has its unique advantages and disadvantages. We will guide the student to the options that would most strategically enhance their profile.
